17 pictures that will make you want to visit Les Arcs in the French Alps

It’s that time of year where you start to think about booking snow holidays and if you are like me and love a snowboard (or ski) trip then here are 17 pictures that will make you want to visit Les Arcs in the French Alps.

Les Arcs is a ski resort located in Savoie, France in the town of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. I visited here back in January 2015 and quickly fell in love with the place. Hopefully these pictures will make you see why!

The mountains are gorgeous!

As you can see from the pictures Les Arcs is a beautiful place to go for a snow holiday. The resort is located in Savoie, France and is part of the huge Paradiski group in the Alps. Les Arcs 2000 even has the speed skiing course from the 1992 Winter Olympics.

Hopefully these pictures have inspired you to consider Les Arcs as your next snow destination. Sadly there was no snowboarding trip for me in 2017 but i’d love to hear where you guys went this year or what your best snow destination has been so leave a comment below.

  2. Really nice photos! I think the 6th to 9th photos are my favorites. What was that art thing in the snow in the 9th picture?

  3. Absolutely stunning photos! This gives serious travel goals!

  4. The air and the snow look so fresh and crisp. Nothing quite like a good snow holiday!

  5. Ahh, so beautiful! I love ski resorts, they are so gorgeous! I wish I was a snowboard-er, I have only tried it twice. I enjoyed it very much, but had a hard time sitting for like five days after haha And yes, what is that snow art in the 9th picture? It is so gorgeous!

  6. Ok, I’m not one for a ‘snow holiday’ – but WOW. These photos are beautiful, and the scenery looks amazing. The snow design is incredible – who did that??

  7. Superb! Its been so long since we went to a snowy-place on the mountains. I do want to go! What is the fabulous picture of the snowflakes design on the snow? It is so so so beautiful! I would love to know more about that.

  8. I definitely one of the best things about skiing in Europe are the cute little towns and this is no exception. I skied Meribel and thought the town was beautiful (although the apres-ski was lacking). Such gorgeous scenery and skiing though

  9. Les Arcs truly does look spectacular! It has always been on my bucket list to snowboard in the Alps! I am from Portland, Oregon and most of my runs happen on Mt. Hood nearby, but the weather is less than ideal and we don’t get a lot of clear blue days. Hopefully I’ll make it to the Alps this winter!

  10. Even though I am French I have a very limited experience of Alpine ski resorts, but it’s true that the Alps in winter look gorgeous and your pics show it well! Love the architecture of the station too.

  13. For so many years i’ve been so ignorant :S I grew up in Switzerland and always thought that we have the only mountains worth skiing and snowboarding. If I had only known that there is a peace of paradise so close nearby … I bet it’s a lot cheaper than in Switzerland as well 😀 Thank you for those beautiful pictures!

  14. Yes, the mountains are gorgeous! I’ve never had a snow holiday but with these beautiful pictures of Les Acrs, I really want to schedule a visit. I love Les Arcs

  15. that’s beautiful! We crossed the french alps during our summer vacation when traveling to Italy.. there was no snow (ok, only on the really high summits) and I definitely would like to visit it during winter! Great pictures!

  16. Well, your absolutely right about that! I so want to see the French Alps first hand – your photos are brilliant, you’ve brought the mountains to life.

  17. Unfortunately I don’t ski, but I know in France there are beautiful mountains!! too bad! your pics are very stunning!

  18. Even though the Aussie Alpine region is apparently bigger than the European Alps, I haven’t ever been skiing – in fact, I’ve only seen real snow about 4 or 5 times in my whole life! Les Arcs looks spectacular though, and I can certainly see its appeal – especially the lovely 1950s architecture of the ski lodge and resort!

  19. Looks like a beautiful city! I especially liked the image that had a design in the snow! It was so complex, but absolutely beautiful. And the mountains of course are breathtaking! I love that “on top of the world” feeling. It can be quite addicting.

Les Arcs looks absolutely stunning – this actually came at the right time because we’ve been trying to figure out where in Europe to go for our next snow vacation – I love mountain scenery, and the town is so charming. I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding before but I’m keen to take a beginners course 🙂
